Formation of two new UCV theatres at Fairfield General Hospital, Bury
Refurbishment of the existing theatre to create a new UCV theatre. Conversion of the existing central stores to create a second UCV theatre. As the works were located on the second floor, careful consideration was required to the occupants on the first floor to ensure minimal disruption to ongoing activities. Out of hours and weekends, working was required to undertake the demolition and services connections. New courtyard AHUs were installed, which required carefully coordinated access across live hospital corridors. Access to the second floor was achieved via a platform hoist. Our Services - Appointed to provide quantity surveying and cost planning services from concept design through to project completion. Produced Bills of Quantities for negotiation purposes to assist the main contractor with competitive tendering of sub-contract works packages.
